How Our DNA Tests Stand Out

How do you choose which genes to test?

We focus on what truly matters for your health. Our experts carefully select genes backed by solid, peer-reviewed research, only those proven to influence nutrition, fitness, and overall wellness.

How can this DNA test help me prevent health risks?

Your DNA holds the blueprint for how your body works. By testing key genes tied to health and fitness, we help you understand your personal strengths and risks.

General Questions

What is DNA sequencing?

DNA sequencing is the process of decoding your genetic blueprint, determining the exact order of nucleotides in your DNA. This information helps us understand how your unique genes affect your health and wellness.

How does my DNA relate to my health?

Your genes shape how you respond to food, exercise, and stress. Understanding them helps you make smarter choices for lasting health.

Is there a minimum age for testing?

No minimum age! Anyone can take the test. For those under 18, parental consent is required. We’ve worked with clients from newborns to seniors.

Is this like the Blood Type Diet?

Not at all. Studies show that blood type isn’t linked to diet or disease risk. DNA testing goes much deeper, it’s personalized to your unique genetic makeup for truly targeted insights.

Sample Collection

How do I collect my DNA sample?

Your kit includes a sterile cheek swab and easy step-by-step instructions. Just swab, seal, and send. It’s quick and non-invasive.

How long can I keep my sample before mailing it?

The unused swab lasts up to two years. Once you’ve collected your sample, it stays stable for several months, but we recommend mailing it back soon after for the best results.

Why avoid coffee or tea before collecting my sample?

Coffee and tea can make cheek cells harder to collect. Skip all food and drinks for 30 minutes before swabbing to ensure a clean, reliable sample.

Is the test safe?

Completely safe. Our cheek swab method is quick, painless, and non-invasive.

Your Results

How long until I get my results?

Once we receive your sample, your report will be ready in about 2–4 weeks. Every sample is handled with care and precision.

Will my results be easy to understand?

Yes! Your report is clear, visual, and easy to follow, no science degree needed. You can also book a 45-minute consultation with one of our DNA experts to walk through your results.

Do you test for serious inherited diseases?

Our focus is on preventative health, diet, fitness, and everyday wellness. We don’t test for inherited diseases. If you have concerns about a medical condition, please consult your healthcare provider.

Can my DNA tell me if I’m sick?

No. Our tests identify predispositions, not diagnoses. Your DNA can show how your body is likely to respond, but only a doctor can determine your current health status.

What if I have a genetic variation? Is that bad?

Not at all. Variations are what make you unique. Some may increase risk for certain outcomes, but nothing is set in stone. Knowing your DNA helps you make smarter choices to support your health and longevity.

Privacy & Security

Who can access my DNA?

Only you. Your information is private and never shared without your consent. If you work with a healthcare provider through us, they’ll receive a copy only if you choose to share it.

What happens to my sample after testing?

Each sample is labeled with a barcode, never your name, to ensure privacy. We store it securely for a few months in case you want to order additional tests, then safely dispose of it following Canadian regulatory standards.
